Very simple to use chronograph. Just install battery (not included) and shoot. I shot about 50 shots through it on a very overcast day with no error codes. This unit is very light weight due to the plastic housing. It mounted to my Bosch laser tripod perfectly. I had a little trouble getting the phone app to work. It seems that the unit is real picky as to witch end of the phone cord is plugged into the unit. Other than that the app is very good after you figure it out. Would be nice it it had instructions for operating the app. As far as accuracy goes all shots were remarkly
consistent considering it has a very small sweet spot. The unit breaks down and stores in a small carrying case witch makes it very portable. Overall a good product for the money!

Superb piece of kit for the price. Knowing how fast your projectiles are going is invaluable. Not least because it will help you keep the right side of the sub-12ftlb law (in the UK), but it’ll also enable you to validate your rifles performance. I have found it invaluable for validating my handloaded (powder burning ammo) and it has singlehandedly enabled me to produce ammo – for my specific rifle – that is more consistent and more accurate than factory ammo….I couldn’t have done that without a chronograph. The Comms to the app don’t seem to work, but I can live with that for the price. If money were no object, I’d buy a radar based tool, but this really is excellent value for ammo test/development.

THIS IS MY FIRST CHRONO AND I CLOSED MY EYES AND WENT FOR IT! After spending a whole day reading reviews and watching videos of different units I bought this one. First time users of course have to experience the world of (exceptable) lighting conditions and all that comes with the dance of maintaining the right kind and amount of light above the 2 sensors so that the unit works and is accurate.

The first time I tried this chronograph, I used an air pistol, just to see how it worked. It was easy to assemble and sync the app with my iPhone. The app was easy to use and I like the interface. The next time I used it, I took it to the range and tested with .223 and .308 ammo. When I tried to connect the cord, the plug fell apart easily, without any force on it. I was still able to use it without the cord or app and it worked great with the .223. When I switched to .308, percussion from the first round popped the sun covers off the top. No big deal, but you may want to put the chrono a little further from the bench for large calibers and/or tape down the dust covers to the rods. After using it at the range a couple times now, the results seem consistent with what I was looking for. It easily screwed onto a cheap light stand I had for photography and was clearly visible 15 feet from the bench.
