Collings 290 Dog Hair

We can’t get enough Collings Guitars and neither can the rest of you; they keep flying out the door! Named for the scenic 290 highway that winds past the Collings shop though the Texas Hill Country, the 290 is a modern day tribute to the original working man’s rock’n roll guitar. A solid mahogany body and neck are complimented by two Lollar Imperial pickups for a tone that shows off the amazing harmonic range and dynamics of this often underrated configuration

I absolutely love this guitar. It’s light, comfortable, and sound fantastic. Very versatile. Having owned a Collings acoustic in the past, I was well aware of the build quality and reputation, so I had no reservations ordering without playing. Highly recommend! Thanks for the discount geek!

  2. Jim W

These Collins 290 guitars are high precision instruments that are a cut above most production guitars. The guitar plays tight and resonated really well. Together this is a versatile guitar. The prior versions had Lollar pickups which are okay but unremarkable.
