Jaguar Decanter with blue enamelled SS badge, chrome radiator grill and superb leaping jaguar cap.
This particular model was made by Jaguar for the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2011: Celebration of Jaguar marking their 60th anniversary of Jaguar’s first Le Mans win as well as the C- and D-types which claimed five victories in the 1950s.
1945 the company name changed to “Jaguar Cars Ltd” due to the use of the SS name by Nazi Germany.
The case is heavy chromium-plated metal and surrounds a glass container with Baize cloth to the back and base. The finish is of very high quality. The tiny enamelled SS Jaguar badge on the front looks truly authentic, especially on the chrome casing.
This Jaguar is of the same high quality as the Ruddspeed and Classic stable models made in the 1960’s and like them were made in limited numbers.
